GREG HUMPHREYS ELECTRIC TRIO SPRING TOUR

One of our favorite musicians is hitting the road… you should check into his electric trio if you can!  His update is below…

GREG HUMPHREYS

New York, NY
Folk / Soul

Doing east coast tourdates this spring with a new electric trio. Joining me will be Matt Brandau on bass guitar, and Keith Robinson on drums. We’ll be doing songs from that new LP Mr. Brandau and I have been working on, along with tunes from my recent solo recordings and faves from the bands’ catalogs. Mark one down – we’d love to see you. Had a rousing inaugural set at Pete’s Candy Store in Brooklyn this past Saturday. Thank you to everyone that came out.

PRESS

“On the whole, Humphreys couples his old school Americana with an affable attitude…Humphreys remains blissfully unencumbered, his blithe and breezy melodies sustaining a willowy caress throughout…Bohemia seems to live up to its title, given its nonchalant attitude and unassuming demeanor. It’s a sensual sound, a momentary retreat to a place in the pines.”  Lee Zimmerman, BLURT

“People You May Know flows with seemingly effortless silkiness… early sides from Bill Withers and Joni Mitchell come to mind as Humphreys ushers us into his folds with a sure hand… There’s no doubting how personal these pieces are to their creator, but Humphreys has the rare gift of transmuting what he sees in the mirror into something the rest of us can hum along to.”  Dennis Cook, Dirty Impound

“Humphreys’ contributions have been manifold. He’s invented and reinvented himself at least three times, going from the enlightened college rocker of Dillon Fence to the blue-eyed soul man of HOBEX to, most recently, a folk-leaning solo artist.”  Chris Parker, INDYweek
