Winterfolk is Back!

Cold, right now? Check. Grey skies… look outside, yup. And Winterfolk! Yeah.

Need something to do this weekend? One of our pals and the Golden Voice of Dayton Roots Music Mr. Harold Hensley has put together another blow-the-roof-off shows! If you have had the good fortune to be able to attend a past Winter Folk then you know that this is a music event that you miss at your peril. You will kick yourself for quite some time if you miss this event.

As always Winterfolk is back with an incredible collection of artists at the Yellow Cab Tavern this Saturday, January 14th! In celebration of this annual concert of Folk, Bluegrass, and Americana we will be playing music from many of the artists on Your Tuesday Afternoon Alternative today — The Shady Pine, Harold Hensley & His Band, California Howdy, Cory Breth, Kyleen Downes, and Derek Gooley!

Info: The cover starts at 7pm, music starts at 8pm, and tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the doors. All ages are welcome with a guardian. Discounted presale tickets end at Midnight on January 13th so get yourself a ticket right away!

Let’s Get some Biscuits & Gravy

This exciting group is one half Cherry Lee & The Hot Rod Hounds care of Ms. Cassandra Lee Barker and second part Mr. Harold Hensley ‘The Golden Voice of Dayton Roots Music’ and member of The Repeating Arms! They will come on the program this Tuesday, February 26 and talk about recording, their upcoming record and play a few songs live in the studio as only they can!

They have amazing harmonies and sing with a beautiful feel that few possess. Join us for Biscuits and Gravy with a side of musical goodness.

Harold Hensley – The Golden Voice of Dayton Root’s Music — was our guest this past Tuesday on YTAA to talk about his forthcoming record from Magnaphone Records, Midnight Savings Time! This record is simply fantastic and we highly recommend it!

You can see Harold and hear the new record at the release party at the Yellow Cab Tavern on Friday, September 28th! $10 gets you into the party! Doors open at 7pm and the music festivities begin promptly at 8pm! See you all there music lovers!

Harold Hensley is a staple of the vibrant Dayton music scene! His work with The Repeating Arms deserves your attention. David Payne ‘Cheaper Than Therapy’

David Payne EP Release Show posterHello everyone!  We are back with a new show and a special guest!  As you know we have been playing that new song from Mr. David Payne, ‘Cheaper Than Therapy.’

Cheaper than therapyThat fine song is not just truth, it is also the title track of his new record which is coming out in just a few days!

David will be joining us in the studio to talk about his big release show at The “Old” Yellow Cab building on Saturday, August 19th!  That show promises to be something spectacular with Tod Weidner, Joe Anderl, Tim Pritchard, and Harold Hensley.  Some of our favorite songwriters together on one great bill!  Yeah, our Saturday plans are set!
